Healing in Relationship
Some of our deepest pain happens in relationship—and relationship can also be where healing begins. I believe therapy offers a place to understand the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape how we relate to ourselves and to others. Often, the ways we learned to protect ourselves made sense at one time, but eventually those same patterns can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or unable to live as fully as we would like.
My approach is relational, experiential, and trauma-informed. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I’m interested in understanding the story beneath them—how your experiences have shaped you, what your mind and body have learned to expect, and what may be trying to emerge or change now. Together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while creating room for new ways of experiencing yourself and your relationships.
I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and have extensive experience working with trauma, addiction, personality disorders, abuse, abandonment, and complicated relationship patterns. I also work with family members and partners of individuals diagnosed with personality disorders, helping them understand these dynamics while developing healthier boundaries and ways of relating.
My work is informed by Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, sand tray, expressive arts, attachment theory, and depth-oriented approaches. I tailor therapy to the individual rather than expecting every person to fit a particular method.
Above all, I believe the therapeutic relationship matters. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, curious, challenged when it is helpful, and deeply understood—so that change becomes something you experience, not simply something you understand intellectually.
If you’re considering therapy and would like to see whether we might be a good fit, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation. You can request an appointment using the link above.
